Love colourwork knitting but craving something fresh? The special stranded technique used to create these flowers might just be calling your name!
The Wildflower Power Top is knitted from the bottom up, mostly in the round. Customize it to your personal style by choosing between waist or hip length and two different strap options (ribbed or with applied I-cord). The pattern also provides instructions on how to incorporate waist shaping if desired. After a short ribbed hem, the actual fun begins: the flowers are created using a combination of stranded colourwork and knitting below.
This pattern invites you to explore not only new and exciting knitting techniques, but also your local plant and insect world. Along with the knitting instructions, it includes a mini guide that identifies which wildflower you are bringing to life based on the blossom colour you choose (focused on Central Europe, but designed to inspire you to discover your local flora wherever you are).
The sample in the photos is the short version with waist shaping and ribbed straps.
