This T-shirt is the summery sister of the Knit Purl Repeat Sweater. If you would like to show your love for knitting even in warmer weather, the Knit Purl Repeat Tee is the way to go! A love letter to the slow, steady, repetitive movements of knitting that help us relax and find our way back to the here and now. Or simply a fun nerd shirt for our favourite hobby!

The T-shirt is knitted seamlessly, top-down and mostly in the round. Its saddle shoulders, set-in sleeves and faux seams on the sides ensure a tailored fit around the shoulders and a nice drape. The pattern also includes instructions on how to incorporate waist shaping if desired (the T-shirt in the photos has gentle waist shaping).

The statement ist created with colourwork stripes – which begin shortly before joining to work in the round. That means you will need to purl a couple of colourwork rows for the back and front piece each – but don‘t worry! If you have some experience with colourwork knitting in the round, working flat is easier than you might think. And thanks to the simple checkerboard pattern, this T-shirt is a great opportunity to practice the technique. All ribbing is framed by a contrast-colour detail.

Now, what are you waiting for? Time to make your own handknit statement piece!
